In order to break the news on the blog I'm posting the message I sent out to the ACCAA group on Facebook:

Well everyone,

I gave people a month to contact me, and while some did I didnt get enough follow up about the fundraisers. So for now...I heartbreakingly inform the members of this group that absolutely no updated news will be added from me to this group, or the website until further notice.

Once funding for ACCAA happens I will be able to continue work with ACCAA. Until then there is nothing I can do. This also means until I receive the help needed there is nothing that I can do. I'm sorry about this but I'm being honest. I dont want to shut ACCAA down completely because the good that has happened through ACCAA outweighs the difficulty we've run into. So right now I'm stopping all updates. You all can still converse on the website/facebook group/message board and you are all welcome to message me and keep in contact, but nothing new about ACCAA will be going on until we are able to raise funds.

I hope that everyone understands, that I really don't want to do this but I've been forced to due to the situation that ACCAA has entered.

God bless you all and I hope that we keep in touch. Feel free to visit the website for the information thats on there right now. I do want everyone to know that I'm not angry about this, it just breaks my heart. All that I am doing is stating the facts.
-Lynnea
________________________

I do feel horrible about this but it was unavoidable. I'm still searching for a job. Other than that I've been struggling with some knee issues that we've traced back to how I've learned to walk because of my ACC and all that.

I just had knee surgery and am still recovering from that. So that's basically what my life has been about lately.

I've been frustrated and stressed, and my migraines are returning but I'm doing my best to keep my chin up because I know that it will all work out.

So fellow ACCers and family and friends of ACCers keep your heads up, because it may get tough but you can make it through. Growing up I was always told to smile through the pain and that really does do wonders! :)

ACCers are "different"

Dear ACCer, or Parent of ACCer,
Has anyone ever told you that you or your child were different. Have they told you that you don't fit in? Most of my life I didnt fit in with my family or fr

iends. I was "slower" or "quieter" (which is quite amusing since I was in the gifted and talented program in Middle school and am known as a huge extrovert.) But anyway, I always said things a bit off the wall according to my other peers. I never thought I would fit on. I've talked to Down's Syndrome kids, and Autistic kids that all felt the same. We all had different disorders but because we're different than the "normal" we didnt fit in. And thats hurtful.

But as I was looking through my devotional book I found a story that inspired me, and I thought maybe it would or could inspire you too. This is from my "Quiet Moments With God Devotional Journal for Women" from Honor books.

"THE EMPTY TOMB"

"Be honest in your judgement and do not decide at a glance superficially and by appearances; But judge fairly and righteously" John 7:24

Philip was born with Down's syndrome. He was a happy child, but as he grew older he became increasingly aware that he was different from other children.

He went to Sunday school with boys and girls his own age, and the

class had wonderful experiences together-- learning, laughing, playing. But Philip remained an outsider.

As an Easter lesson, the Sunday school teacher gave each student a large egg-shaped plastic container. The children were asked to explore the church

grounds, find something that symbolized new life to them, put it in their "egg," and bring it back to share with the class.

The children had a grand time running about the churchyard collecting symbols. Then they gathered back in the classroom and watched with great anticipation as the teacher opened each egg. In one egg, there was a flower, in another a butterfly. The students responded with great glee and enthusiasm as the teacher revealed the contents of each egg.

When the teacher opened Philip's egg, there was nothing inside. As could be expected, the eight-year-olds responded, "That's stupid! You didn't do it right."

"I did so do it right," Philip responded. "It's empty-- the tomb is empty!"

The class room fell silent. From that day on things were different. Philip became a full-fledged part of the class. The children took him into their friendship. He had been freed from the tomb of his difference, and he entered into a new life among his peers.

"You must looking into people as well as at them"

The devotion then ends with a statement to finish "My difference form others is good because..."

Answer that and see what you come up with.

______________________________

Don't let anyone tell you that your difference is a bad thing! It's not! Your difference is a good thing. You may understand things a bit differently but you'll help others think in a different light and it's YOU that will teach them life lessons that they will keep forever! You are amazing!! And your "difference" just makes you that much more "normal"

because EVERYONE is different in some way! :)

Attached is a picture of a drawing I did in first grade. We were supposed to say what we liked about dinosaurs. And I picked the most simple thing:

"I like Dinosaurs because...they growl" It was the truth I thought a dinosaurs growl was amazing because to me back then their growl showed their strength and strength is beautiful. And yes I drew that picture at the bottom LOL

School and ACC: I'm DONE!

Hey everyone sorry it's been so long since I've posted! My last semester at school was a tough one but I got all A's B's and C's!!! I did really well this semester. Got a perfect score when I had to memorize the To Be Or Not To Be speech from Hamlet. Not to mention I didnt get below a D on ANY tests this semester!

My secret there is that I had the tests given to me as oral exams. That went really well the first time it was done so this whole semester I did it and I did so well!! I'm so thankful for that option.

When I memorized the To Be Or Not To Be speech my secret is that I used colored idex cards and divided the speech into three different cards and memorized it through that. I also found the speech in song form on Amazon and got it and used that! So if you have a child or you yourself struggle with those similar things those are some things that you can do for that.

Anyway...On May 1st I graduated with a Bachelors in Youth Ministry!!! Now I'm just searching for a job and I'm leaving that to God. I'm focusing more on ACCAA (I'll blog more about this later.

And I now have a new project with some of my friends called LLLTD It exists to help young girls with self esteem and other issues. Look us up we've got a page and blog you can find us under LLLTD or Live Love Laugh Tackle (sometimes we have be Deteremined at the end of that) :)

I'm so excited to give most of my energy and time to these projects, and I'm glad to be done with school!!

RIP Kim Peek

ACCAA bows our heads in silent rememberance as we think of a great man who is an inspiration to many ACCers. This man is Kim Peek, at 58 years old this man has passed on. He was an ACCer and Savant with other "disablities" but this man was anything but Disable. He could read 8 books in a day, and retained all of that knowledge. He was the inspiration for the movie Rain Man (Star of this movie was Dustin Hoffman playing an Autistic Savant)

Let us remember this man in our hearts and lives and never let the memory of him die.

So many ACCers have had the opertunity to meet him, and so many of us who hadnt yet met him had a dream of meeting him. Please remember his father and the others whose lives this man touched...remember them in your thoughts and prayers.

School and ACC and ACCAA update

Hey everyone, So it's about that time for an update, I'm home on Christmas break right now and I got my grades for this semester. So this section of the blog is for personal things that I've overcome.

I passed all my classes!!!
Youth Ministry Internship: A
Systematic Theology: C
Galatians: C+
Human Biology: D
Church History: C+

My youth ministry internship took a lot of hard work but I loved it.
As far as Systematic Theology and Galatians, those were some tough courses. The Bible classes are always the hardest but I enjoyed what I learned in there.
Human Biology: My Gen Eds are tough classes for me, through my 4 and a half years of college I had a difficult time with math and now science. I wish I could have done better in this class but I tried hard and did what I could, and I'm just thankful for passing.
Church History: This whole class was hard but I enjoyed it, I learned so much. Church History is facinating and through this I went to my first Catholic Mass service. I took away so many experiences from this class.

Though these grades arent the highest, they show that I did try, and I did well for the most part I'm proud of these grades because they show that through my ACC I didnt give up and kept trying.
_________________
ACCAA:

Well We've hit our goal and surpassed it. We had a goal in October to get about 1000 signatures. At last count we had 1114. At the count before and at our Dec 15th date of when we'd hit the goal we had 1113! Praise GOD!!!

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season and pray safety and blessings upon all of you!

Happy New Year! The new year is fast approaching and will bring many things for myself and ACCAA.

Right now we dont have a new goal of petition signatures, but starting during the New Year we'll have a goal to hit 2000, Also starting in the new year I'll be contacting radio shows and magazines!

Outside of the petition, We're hoping by march/april that we'll have t-shirts and bracelets to sell!

The Saynow number is getting phone calls which is great, coming in the new year we'll be having new chats when I'm break (video chats so we can discuss new things in ACCAA) As well as Saynow live. I'll send out notifications through this, our message board, and facebook, and twitter, as well as saynow as to when I'll have saynow live on to where you can call the saynow number and I'll answer it, you can ask me questions about ACC or ACCAA and I'll answer them and talk to you about things! I'm really excited about this!

Other than that there are some other things that are still in the conversation area of planning but things ar happening just like their supposed to, PRAISE GOD!!
Love you all and God Bless
-Lynnea

School and ACC

hey everyone so While in school I'm updating people on how I'm doing with ACC and being a college student.

As an ACCer I have a horrible memory, memorizing things for tests and stuff like that comes very difficult for me. I had to memorize the Nicene Creed for my Church History class.

"I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.
Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.
And I believe in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets.
And I believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen."

It's long and was very hard to memorize. BUT ACCers and ACCer Parents dont let ANYONE tell you that you cant overcome difficulties in school. I got a 90% on that memorization quiz! Praise God! If you are determined and try and do everything you can and lean on God ANYTHING is possible. :)
<img width='1' height='1' My internship is going well and each week resposibility oppertunities in my life grow. So it's nice. Thats basically all thats going on for me now. And I got to thinking about how a message board would be a great tool to use to get awareness out there. So ACCA has started a message board. Join it please! It's Lynnea here with a school and ACC update.

This past semester was one of my most difficult semesters yet. However I just found out all my grades and I passed. This right here shows you that a person with ACC who struggles with migrains daily CAN in fact pass her college courses.

My classes and the grades I got

Effective Youth Communications:B-
Philosophy of Youth Ministry: B+
Ethics: B-
Death and Dying: A-
Math: C

These are the best grades I've had since my first semester of college and it's all because I did my best and tried my hardest. I really felt closer to God during this time too.

But really if you have ACC and people are telling you that you cant do something, think about it, You can! We all can do anything we set our minds to even if we have a disorder holding us back!!

Now to ACCA: We're still hard at work on the video, shirts, and petition and will post everything once it's all done. I'm also talking to the right people about funding as soon as possible.

Thanks for reading. Until then heres the update concerning my ACC and school.

Everything was going good until my computer crashed, now I'm behind of school but I've got today and tomorrow to catch up. So thats good. It'll be good to be able to catch up with all my hw.

My ACC stopped effecting me as much concerning my school work after much needed prayer. Then suddenly thats when my computer crashed. And so with the stress it started acting up again, through headaches. But things are looking up. I had a BAD ACC headache yesterday but things are better today, praise God.

For ACCA we're still hard at work on the T-shirts and the petiton, I'm working on some other things as well. And I've got a friend that is putting together the music for the song for ACCA. I'm doing my best to get some stuff done for the kids of ACCA. We want to make this for ALL accers and those that dont have ACC.

ACCA is wearing the silver ribbons to represent brain disorders now. And we're loving what we're doing with that. God is good. I've got this month left of school then I'm done for the summer. And this summer I'm doing my internship, as well as doing a LOT for ACCA. This should be fun.
-Lynnea

Passion lit up again

Hey all-

Well School is still taken up most of my time though every free moment goes to ACCA. I love what I'm doing with ACCA. I've met SO many amazing parents and ACCers. My passion to get word out about ACC grows every single day.

Lately at school I've been called a liar, a fake, and a drama queen. This has all been because of my ACC. And I've been called these things by people who dont understand the disorder and those that dont WANT to understand it. And It's honestly annoyed me to no end. But also it has helped me to see the need of knowledge about the disorder ACC....and I want people to know about it, I want to be a voice to a people that dont get it. Lets face it, I'm stubborn, and with Christ in my heart and some people backing me up I can do this!!! And I WANT to. I'm excited about this passion that keeps growing within me.

About school, I'm actually doing okay in Math so far, which is good. I'm doing okay in my other classes. My ACC has been acting up a lot more due to stress and being mistreated but I'm trying to control it and overcome it. But I'm excited because after this week is spring break then I have 6 weeks left of school and I CANT WAIT TO BE DONE!!!!! :)

God Bless yall
-Lynnea
(ACCA)
"A Little Bit Longer And I'll Be Fine"

Update on my school and ACC

Hey all,

First off it seems as though a lot of people who say they want to help with ACCA arent actually backing it up with help! Which stinks but someday I hope to meet more people that actually want to help.

Next i want to tell you all how my schooling for this semester is going. I'm finding myself extreemly busy with all the stuff that I have to due like HW, projects, and studying. But life is good. I cant complain. Here is an update by classes.

Ethics: This class is difficult because he calls for memorization, presentations, and writing papers. All three things are things that I'm horrible at due to my ACC. But I'm doing my best and seem to be doing alright in there so far.

Death And Dying: I Love this class! It challenges me to think outside the box about many futuristic things. And helps me in learning how to counsel those that struggle with grief.

Math: Well this class is my hardest one but surprisingly I'm doing alright so far. On my first test I got a perfect score. And so I'm very happy about that. Dont let anyone tell you that because you have a disability you cant do something.

Effective Youth Communications: This class is taught by one of my favorite professors. It's a preaching class and I love it. It's really helping me with my presentation skills.

Philosophy of Youth Ministry: We do discussions in this class and I used to hate it but I'm really starting to come out of my shell about that. so thats fun.

_____________________________

School takes up most of my time but I love every minute of it. I'm learning so much this semester, and life is good. I'm struggling a lot with people not respecting me due to my ACC but I know that things will get better.

Happy HOLYdays and my school and ACC

Hey everyone....

I'm SO sorry I've not done any blogs for this page....I feel like such a slacker though I will tell you I've been trying to get others to do some entries for this...and no one has been able to take time to do that. Focus on the Positive.

This blog was written by a parent of a young boy that has ACC. He is non-verbal and I can already tell you through her e-mails that this boy is amazing. Sandie and I have become good friends. She's a wonderful encourager and a blessing to my life personally. So go on, read her and matthews story! Also Matthew has a success story on the ACCA website so you are welcome to look that up.

And when your done check out her very wonderful website: http://members.tripod.com/scenicbeauty/AngelsAroundTheWorld.html

Then go look at the success stories to learn a bit more about Matthew: http://sites.google.com/site/accawareness/

God Bless
__________________Sandies blog entry starts here._______________________

I don’t have agenesis of the corpus callosum myself. I am the parent of a boy who is almost 15 years old in a few weeks. His name is Matthew and he loves to laugh, he has a wonderfully silly sense of humor and when he laughs he can make others in the room laugh right along with him. His happy smiley silly giggles throughout the day brighten my day and he just keeps this beautiful approach to life each and every day despite the many challenges and struggles he deals with as a result of being born with agenesis of the corpus callosum (ACC).

Matthew is globally delayed and he functions at about the two year old level when tested. But, he continues to learn and make progress all the time. In the beginning years it took him what seemed like eons to learn one thing and that skill didn’t come without therapy…LOTS of therapy…LOTS of repetition and just when I was about to, at times, give up and question if he would learn the skill…it clicked for Matthew and in the snap of fingers he learned what he had worked and worked AND WORKED on. A connection was made and he learned a new skill. All that hard work, all that therapy, all that practice, all that repetition was not wasted…not one little bit. It’s what Matthew needed and it made it all worth it. Matthew learned to crawl when he was about 2 ½ years old but in the beginning he would crawl backwards. Soon he did begin crawling forwards but it was so hard for him due to his low tone and motor planning so he would crawl slowly with his head looking down at the floor. I loved seeing him crawl but I would also cringe because if I didn’t watch him closely he could bump right into the wall or whatever was in his way since he wasn’t able to crawl AND look where he was going at the same time. Eventually he did gain strength and was able to crawl while looking. He sat up by himself when he was 11 months old but he still preferred to slouch and lean against something for support or lean against someone because it was a lot of work for him.

When Matthew entered grade school I saw a difference with the learning coming a little more quickly. It didn’t always take so much time for him to learn something new. At this time he was not walking independently but he would use a walker and needed close supervision. He struggles (even to this day) with balance issues. He has trouble with stairs, struggles with depth perception, doesn’t ride a two wheel bike but he can ride a trike and loves it! J He defied all textbook odds when I picked him up from school one day and when we got outside he let go of my hand and took his first independent steps! I was amazed at what he accomplished and couldn’t believe my eyes…my seven-year-old boy was WALKING! :)

It isn’t always easy to focus on the positive when there are sometimes so many struggles and challenges but it IS so important and very worthwhile. I encourage you to close your eyes at the end of each day and see that positive picture in your mind of something your child did, learned, accomplished and CAN do no matter how small and give thanks to God.

~Sandie *Mom to almost 15 year old Matthew with complete ACC*

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://accawareness.blogspot.com/2008/09/acc-storysandie-and-her-son-matthew.html' title='ACC Story:Sandie and her son Matthew. Well as of now I'm starting my second week of school tomorrow. Just had my first monday class today. School is going to be tough this semester. But I'm excited.

If you know me you've heard me talk about how hard it is to be in school with ACC. I'm in my 4th year of college and it hasnt gotten any easier but I've learned so much. Not just in school but about myself. I've learned that since I go to a private university it's hard to get the accomodations I need. I dont really get much respect in school either. People just dont get that I have a problem and need help. They think I'm exagerating. Some have even said I'm LYING about my ACC. Now why on earth would I make up a brain problem just so people could make jokes about me missing part of my brain?

I'm getting off topic. So far it seems as though while this will be a tough semester it will be my best semester yet! My professors seem very understanding and I'm going to be working my but off. I'm doing my best to stay up on my reading. And so are I'm doing well. I'll keep small updates about school and maybe sometime we'll hear from some parents of kids in school. If you ever want to be an addition to this blog let me know! I'm sure the readers would love to hear from more than me! Also in other news My mom is trying to get word out about the website that I made. She keeps sending people the blog that as of now doesnt link to the site, but the site links to it. From now on at the end of each post I'm going to do a shameless plug for the site by making it my signature. Once I get back to school be expecting more blogs from our supporters as well as blogs from me about School and ACC. (I will try to minimize the venting) Also I've been gaining many more friends with ACC and will hopefully be asking them to write something for this blog!!!!

Thanks so much for your patience and willingness to read! This is straight from her myspace post. All her words. Hopefully seeing through the eyes of someone else with ACC will further the understand of you as the reader. It opened even my eyes.

____________________________________________________
I was first aware that I was different when doctors came round to assess me when I was little; I had to do things like shape sorting and walking, etc.
It was all part of research into what they now call Agenesis of the corpus callosum.
This disability is hereditary as my mother, brother and a great uncle also have the condition.
When I was little I had special boots made because of my balance and I couldn’t walk properly. I still have problems with my balance and when I walk my left foot goes outwards. I also have poor motor co-ordination which makes things like crossing roads difficult and I often misjudge things like a door for a wall and because I have high pain tolerance I am likely to collapse when I fall - to let my body recover from the shock.
I also have problems in understanding and the behavioural pattern in when is said and done as I can only see things in black and white, simple, which sometimes causes problems and then I tend to forgive and forget straight away without realising that the other person needs time and space to cool off. But in these situations I feel alone and I either I annoy the other person further or for the better seek comfort in a favourite teddy (Jet, my toy cat), or do something else like writing. If not I tend to lose it and do something I would later regret.
Problem solving and decision making has always been a problem as I get confused by the multiple options given and not know what to do or say.
I spent my first seven years in a special school as wasn’t bright or clever enough for a mainstream school and I was a lot slower than most children of my age. School wasn’t all that bad and I got on with a other children with disabilities, although I made few friends I was very much a loner because I didn’t have the social skills to communicate with the others and I always felt left out because I was different.
Then when I was about 12 or 13 I went to a mainstream school which I hated as I was bullied all the time and where I came from it made life very hard and I soon became depressive and suicidal and coping with ACC was difficult and I used to disown it and try to be someone else.
I would have preferred home private schooling though as my parents were also on disability benefit we couldn’t afford it. So instead I got myself into books and encyclopaedias that have a wide range of information and taught myself.
After I left school, I went to college to further my education, and I went on to do GCSE art. Which I liked.
Though because money was tight and I was old enough to pay my way I had to leave to find a job and with so much discrimination out there I knew I was in for a tough ride and I had depression all over again and to make matters worse no one knew about the extent of my disability as it was rare.
Then my luck came when we moved to Winchester and I got my first job, cleaning in an army barracks, though the joy soon turned sour when I realised that I was being used, so in the end I was just there for my parents.
That is where I met my now husband, he backed me up from the start and made everything easier, then we fell in love, and moved in together, though the shit weren’t going to stop there and we got conned and thrown out my our land lady and had to rebuild our lives again.
It’s tough coping with ACC and I’ve had to learn to tolerate other people and control myself and how to do simple things like love, sex and relationships and everything in adult life.
We got married in March 2007 and things are looking up for us and I’ve comes to terms with and accepted my disability
With Family, friends and a wonderful husband (who is also my carer) around I find life a lot easier to cope with.
__________________________________________________

There you have it. Well come back a little later and hopefully we'll have blogs from others that know what it's like to be around those with ACC. Soon there should be more blogs. But hopefully they will be from other people so that you dont have to put up with much more of me. Until then I'm going to share the 2nd and final blog of the "ACC and Me" series by...ME!

Basically all I really wanted to share this time was the difficulty of living day by day with ACC of my level. I get lost easily. I cant ride a bike. to tie my shoe is a pain because it just comes untied quickly again. Learning is like this: In one ear and out the other. Though I wish it wasnt...I like to learn...I wish I were better at it (haha)

I get easily frustrated with myself and the fact that I cant focus on certain things. Theres not one thing that I'm just great at. I tried piano...it doesnt stick well, tried other instruments and sometimes Its like I have relearn every time I pick the instrument up. I get so tired so easily and Migraines are my best friends. By this I'm saying I hate them but they are always there for me...

Dont get me wrong I'm not complaining. Life isnt bad it's just hard, but isnt it hard for everyone in different ways? Living life to the fullest is my way of overcoming my ACC. I am a Christian. I believe that Christ watches over me and helps me through each day, and I've felt His presence. when I've gotten lost theres always someone with me that will help me... people make fun of me because I cant ride a bike but its okay. I know what I can and cant do and I work with what I can work with.

ACC is very frustrating, its one of those things I wish I could beat...and I can just learning to cope with it, but not hide that I have it (like I wanted to do for so long...) is a form of me beating this. Making sure that people are aware of the ACC is a form of beating this! And I just feel so blessed to be given this opertunity.

Sorry that this isnt much. Join in next time for another blog with someone else about ACC! :) God Bless
-Lynnea

ACC and Me

Hey again-

Well today I just wanted to touch on ACC on a personal level. I've been thinking a lot about how my ACC has been a battle and struggle for me personally, and for those that I know love and care for me.

I'm a very straight forward person. I like to plan, and It doesnt make me very happy when I've been planning something for a while and it just falls apart. I get moody and withdraw from people.

My ACC isnt as bad as some. I have difficulty walking well, I'm clumsy and I get lost so easy. Its a scary thing. A lot of the time I feel I am a burden on those that I care for. And then theres other people who always think I'm lying about my ACC because I'm "normal" and that in itself really hurts me because seriously why on earth would I make up a brain problem? Anyone thats known me since I was a kid that besides my heart, my brain is something I never wanted to doctors to have to look at and deal with when it came to me.

Then two years ago I felt like my world came crashing down, sure ACC isnt terminal...but its still there...well actually the point is that the CC is NOT there. Anyway my point is it's been tough. I practically live with migraines and I have to be careful not to hit my head. However I hit it, almost every day because I'm so clumsy.

Well this is the end of the first installment of ACC and Me. I'll talk about it more later!
-Lynnea

ACC and Us

Hey everyone. I'm Lynnea. and I have ACC *hears a chorus of "Hi Lynnea's"*

ACC is a brain disorder called Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. Many are born with it though it is coinsidered rare. Everyone with ACC is different. Some are of normal intellegence while others have more difficulty. There are some that cant walk, or talk, or that struggle with seizures. And there are types called partial or complete ACC.

I have complete ACC. It means that the middle part of the brain...the Corpus Callosum, that connects the two sides and sends messages is actually missing or partially missing. Some people with ACC find out young, while others find out when they are much older. I personally found out at age 20 and am now 22. ACC is a struggle for those with it as well as the families and friends of those people.

More people should know about this disorder because there are so many that dont understand it or accept it. And that's what I'm here for. So if there are any questions or any of you out there have it or know someone with it let me know! Let the ACC awareness begin.
-Lynnea
